An excerpt from my script review for Trumbo which will be available 04/25/16:
6.) What I liked…
Besides being a well written screenplay, the tangents with today’s political climate are astonishing.
In this script we’re trying to root out all communists in Hollywood, playing on the fears of everyday Americans. But compare that to how part of the US is ready brush an entire stereotype over a certain religion.
Terror and death can come in all shapes and sizes, and we have two choices:
A.) Living in fear of what might happen.
B.) Enjoying the good that is happening, knowing we won’t get out of it alive in the end anyway.
Regardless of the option you choose, we should all study (and be aware of) history, or risk repeating the sins of our ancestors.
